BALHAM
HIGH
ROAD

This new build development in an ever increasingly desirable South West London location, involved the demolition of an existing two storey building on Balham High Road. This prominent high street location, approximately 200 yards from Balham Station, gave rise to challenging logistics and planning.

The works involved the construction of a new six storey building, comprising five apartments on the upper floors, and retail at ground and basement levels.

The site plot is in close proximity to the Northern Line underground tunnel. This resulted in a lightweight steel framed structure with SFS wall infills and facing brick cavity walls. A zinc clad box finished off the penthouse apartment. Aluminium windows and doors throughout. Air Source Heat Pumps and integrated MVHR units were installed to satisfy the local authority energy planning conditions.

The contemporary internal fit out was completed to a high standard, including Quickstep Laminate flooring, Howden kitchens, oak finished doors and built in wardrobes.
